Default How much are catalytic converters worth?

I have a set of stock catalytic converters from my 2000 z28 that I sold, they are the bolt on kind. They have 50,000 miles on them.
I am wondering about them because I have them somewhere in my garage and I might sell them.

Whatever you do, don't do what I did years ago and throw them on a truck load of scrap metal. That was before I was even on tech, and before that WTB thread was started, but wish I would have held onto them for that.

I still have mine as well, and am thinking about seling them. 150 bucks right now could put a dent in the racetronics set up I am in need of.

Cat Converter cost me over $600 new from the dealer for my 98 so if they are good you should be able to sell them for at least $150. It depends if someone needs a set.

Why Not Put Them On Ebay? Thats What I Do With All Mine So People Are Bidding On Them And You'll Get The Best Price.i Get Alot Of People That Try To Buy Them Outright For $5 Or Something Like That.measure The Honeycomb In Each Side To Make Sure Theyre Full Take A Picture And List Them.throw A $25 Shipping Fee On Them Anywhere In The Lower 48.

I just called the dealer about mine getting replaced under warranty. He said they are around 500 a piece through him. Luckily for some reason gm has extended the warranty on them to 120,000 miles, so shouldn't cost me anything. At the same time going to have them do the cold weld or cold rivet recall thing to whatever it's called, supposed to take a couple days work. Glad I don't have to pay for these!

yeah they are worth some coin, and thiefs know this also, there are alot of reports of stolen cats in my area. So keep them somewhere safe if you ever have any sittin around. 150 sounds like a fair price imo.
