Anyone caught handing out the cad files could get there membership revoked.
So your not going to get people to just hand over files, especially if they work for a company that has access to the files, they could lose there job.

Again back from the dead !!!!
Hans Grueber - "you can highlight and measure parts".
How is this done on an easm? If I click anywhere on the model the whole thing lights up. I can only select exterior features such as lines or radiuses.
I downloaded the LS1 model from the header company a while back then downloaded the free version of eDrawings and used the measure tool to get dimensions. It is a pain in the ***, but it can be done. I used this model to verify some of my reverse engineering measurements on an LS7 Oil Pan I designed. I really wish I could hide/remove some of the components like the coil covers, intake, etc. If you rotate the model, you can see some of the internal components and see that the CAD data is all there, but when you let go of the mouse it redraws and covers everything back up. Bummer that we can "get to it" though.
Also, I tried changing the file extension to .asm, .sldasm, etc. with no luck. I am still trying to find a conversion program to at least change it to an .igs or something.
Good luck,
Cole

LS7 engine drawings
Hello,
I've just started compiling all the drawings on the LS7 I've made as a Mechanical Engineering student. You can check it out here: http://ls7art.blogspot.com/.
I've had to figure some dimensions out since it is really difficult to find all the information at once. Hope I can update it regularly and receive feedback.
