LS-1 to Datsun 240Z swap Any body know of anyone with experience putting an LS1 in an old 240Z? I've got more money than time (but not unlimited resources) and I'd like to look into finding someone to do the job for me. I'd like a quality job, not a chop job. The car I'd like to put the motor in is really nice.

dont know of any shops that do it, but there are kits you can buy (they arent very good IMO, you are best off making your own mounts)
hybridz.org has some great info. use the search feature before you post though, otherwise you will get reamed hardcore

Where are you located? If you are in TX you in luck. JCI sells the mount kits for the LS1 motor to put into a Z. He also completed an LS1 conversion into a Z for Phantom on Hybridz.org. I know another person that did another LS1 Z swap for someone else on here and he is MAS280. I am currently doing an LS1 Z conversion for a friend of mine also. I doubt you will find any shop that will take on this job. I suggest you to talk to a few guys that have done the swap and write down all the steps required. Then take your list to several shops to get estimate. Jump on Hybrdz and ask around. Good luck
