AC compressor whine When I turn on the AC in my car i hear a whining sound from my AC comp. that increases with the RPMs is my compressor going out or is there something I can do?

sounds like a bearing in comp. mite be going, put long screwdriver on it and listen,it usually howls pretty good when it is going bad,if so replace it before it dumps the freon
