Default Quadrant Scientific??

Has anyone seen or heard about Quadrant Scientific in the last few years? Among other things they make (made?) High end flow benches and created the "Cam doctor". In the late 90's I was loking at purchasing a flowbench and they had some extremely good stuff although it was marginally more exensive than SuperFlow. I have been unable to find them on the web although I am sure that they have had one at some point in time. I have tried the obvious google search and going to www.quadrantscientific.com Does any one know what happened to them?

Here's an article about the Cam Doctor: http://racingarticles.com/article_racing-69.html
"Quadrant Scientific, a company that is unfortunately no longer in business, developed this groundbreaking product."

Found several versions of what their contact information was:

About Quadrant Scientific

Manufacturer of advanced engine development tools, flowbenches, cam analyzers, and dyno data acquisition.

Quadrant Scientific started operation in January, 1984, hitting the market with 2 computer driven products the CAM DOCTOR, a camshaft analysis machine, and an engine dyno data acquisition system called QS-1000. A spin-off of this data acquisition system is currently marketed by Stuska Engineering. Products added in the following years included air mass flow meters and swirl meters. Today, Quadrant Scientific has added 4 flowbench models to it's product line and continues to lead the industry in product innovation and value.

All software, electronics, and mechanical design are done in house. This plus the high motorhead/geek ratio gives us some distinct advantages.

Quadrant Scientific is presently located in two Colorado locations:

Here's the only remnant of the company that I found (well, its branch/partner Stuska Engineering):

http://www.stuskadyno.com/company.htm
Stuska has been manufacturing durable, affordable dynamometer systems since 1963.

In March, 2002, Mr. Harvey Stuska sold the Stuska Engineering Co. of Englewood, Colorado, to Power Test Inc. of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

With dynamometer systems throughout the world, Power Test has been manufacturing dynamometers and control systems since 1976. With a full complement of engineering, manufacturing, software and electronics capabilities, along with an experienced and dedicated staff, Power Test is able to provide the high-performance gasoline engine market with the same quality and reliability found in every Power Test engine and chassis dynamometer.

Whoaaaaa, ask and ye shall receive!!!! Thanks for all the info. It's a shame to see they are no longer in business. At the time I was looking at buying a bench they were really the only alternative to superflow (Not that I didn't like SF but it's nice to have a choice.) I will peruse these articles. Thanks for your efforts!!!

Bill Andrews ("OZ" to most) and his company dropped off the planet several years ago. A friend of mine has one of his flow benches, which does seem to have impressive possibilities. "Seems" because it has only been run a few minutes, since several critical parts were never shipped..

Question

Hi all...

New to this forum but was reading through and came across this topic.
I also own a Quadrant Scientific flowbench 520 and was wondering if anyone knew where I could source parts for it?
Or even at a longer stretch if anyone knows someone that knows how to fix them?

Many Thanks

James

I heard that Audie Thomas might have taken on the job of helping out former QS customers: http://www.audietech.com/

William Hartley Anderson, "aka as Oz" closed down the flowbench manufacturing facility in Colorado and moved to California. He subsequently went to work for DTS in some engineering capacity and was let go after some time there. I have since lost track of him. I liked the guy despite loosing a good deal of deposit money on a flowbench i had ordered from him. I suspect he suffers from deep depression or bi-polar disorder. At the time of his employment with DTS the company was located near Sacremento, California; (Orangevale perhaps)?
