Went 9s today, video inside. Full weight on 17s!
Finally went 9.8 @ 138 with an awesome 1.443 60ft. This was done at over 3800lbs, ac back seat, tools in the back and driving 200 miles round trip on a 275-50-17 drag radial.
First let me say Ive run every type of slick and drag radial on 15s and 17s. The M&H 17 inch drag radial is the best tire in the world. I have almost 1000 street miles on them and they didnt wear much at all, today I made 7 passes and they look the same as when I got to the track. I launched on 3-4 psi on a trans brake and 2step at 3500, dead hooked.
I used a single 15 nozzle alky kit and I mixed some c16 in for insuranc. I did all the tuning at the track and could have used some more time the 9.8 run was at 10.5 afr and 18 degrees timing. I definitely could have leaned on it more but when you drive the car to and from with no trailer you don't want to get greedy.
Car on the dyno was loosing alot of power after 5300 rpm, not sure why. Did new springs, pushrods, and stock rockers with no change. Maybe the xer cam?
This was on 20psi boost and probably around 840whp. Car just worked, felt super smooth all day and was launching great. Love not running a slick so much more stable at the top end with this drag radial.
Il probably do a cam and swap out the cheap IC next. Its was loosing like 5psi through it. Then some more meth tuning and I should go 9.5 with a better mph.
Anyway, thanks to Finish line Transmission (Chuck) for an awesome 4l65e with trans brake, thanks to M&H tires, Jim at speed inc, Julio at Alky Control.

Stock ported 241 heads, stock ls6 intake. Cam is 232/236 115lsa .600 lift,xer lobes.
I think I can tune it to a 9.5, don't really plan on any weight reduction.

Shifting at 6500. The last couple runs 2-3 were at 7k with a little bit of rev limiter. My 4l65 has 30 low 10sec passes and now 9s, 8k miles with a **** ton of high way passes. I think its time for some clutches.
