I plan on using the SS hood that is on it in the first few pictures. I planned on making the removable radiator support anyways to make it easier to work on. After cutting it and lowering it made it possible to fit the lid without cutting the hood

Yes it will. We all know it's a labor of love anyway. Love the powdercoating.

I did some more work this weekend. The engine bay is painted, 24x reluctors are installedon the engine. I need to button the engine back up then im ready to set the engine/trans in.

Bay pictures:

Heres some powder coating I did over the weekend for a friends LS powered foxbody, its a dark candy red:

Little steps, but it would be awesome to hit the track at the end of May.

Engine pay is painted with Dupont basecoat and Clearcoat. Just like the exterior of our cars. Thanks!

Engine bay looks great! I see you even smoothed/filled the hole where the plastic fuel lines were at.

Great catch...The only thing you missed was where does the fuse box go now Thers no bracket uh oh.

I filled the spot welds, the fuel line hole, the wireing holes that went over the passenger side for the 2 connectors that connect to the engine harness. The only things I left were the holes for the junction block and ground.

Yep. The only reason I caught that, was b/c I've always wanted to fill it in and make it all look smooth. Looks sharp!

How do you plan to have the hood latch in place?

Im using the factory latch, the picture with the lid installed was still a mock up photo. There was an added support for the hood latch.

a little more progress. Just need to finish up the 24x harness bolt up some exhaust and run the front body harness. Hopefully I'll have it running in the next few weeks

This takes so much damn time to keep it nice. If I wasn't being so picky it would be running by now.

The car runs 10's on the bottle. I doubt it runs tens on motor this year after adding the heavier 9" and huge 35 spline axles.

I just wanted to clean things up and make it easier to work on. it would be nice to see an improvement in ET with the LID and 24x system going in (hopefully to solve old ignition problems I had) but thats a stretch.

I didn't think you were spraying it. What does it run on the bottle?

Thanks

Closer yet now. A couple friends came over and helped yesterday. Adam routed and loomed most of the wiring it almost complete. Exhaust is on driveshaft in etc.

I need to run fuel lines and brake lines, finish looming wiring and install my coils and plug wires and it should be ready to start.
