Default Gas gauge not working after fuel pump install????

I'm pretty sure theres alot of threads and info out there but I'll be honest im too lazy to look I just installed my Walbro 255lph fuel pump and after the install I noticed that my gas gauge wasn't working. I truly and honestly don't want to pull the pump even though I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to have to Well I guess my question is. When I pull the pump what exactly do I look for on why the gas gauge isn't working??? Has anyone had experience with this problem? If so what was the solution? Or even if you have theories on what it might be I would still like to hear it Oh also its stuck on E (Empty)

same thing here. you probly broke the clip that holds the floater. use some metal wire and tie that bastard in there good. thats what i did, seems to work

Either you bent the floater, wire came loose on the sensor for the gauge, or you managed to mess up the sensor.
