Default '69 4WD LS1 swap

I don't know anything about these engines but I'm thinking about swapping an LS1 into my '69 Chev. 4WD pickup and trying to see how many pitfalls are in front of me. One thing I'm trying to decide is the fuel pump. Does anyone make a drop-in in-tank pump for the '67-'72 fuel tank or should I go with an external pump? I hear the external ones are noisy? I appreciate any information and help.
