First, do you have a psycho, ex-girlfriend? (who deosen't )
Next, does she know you love your car, or was the car the reason you split up?
Seriously, I believe it would stop altogether, as the suggar would plug up the injectors, wouldn't it?

Wow, first I'd like to say that I hope all works out for the best...

I'd take off the gas cap and look inside to see if there are any sugar crystals which haven't dissolved yet.

If it happened to me, I'd bitch-slap myself for not putting a locking gas cap on it the day I brought it home.

Are you at the point you are having problems, or just suspecting that this may be something that was done?

Ahh yes the ole psycho, ex-girlfriend,
the gift that just keeps on giveing

a lot of what you described (residue on pistons, hard black residue at top of piston bore???) is normal.
injectors gummed up, o2s screwed, fuel pump draging or dead...... THESE are not normal.

No matter how this goes, Get a locking cap.....

I was told that suger will do NOTHING to a motor, maybe just stop up the fuel filter.

Now, a big tube of graphite, thats a whole other story

GM Part #: 22660006, about $10 at the dealer.

Works like a champ, and even fits on the stock cap holder! Don't leave home without it!

Follow this down about 1/2 to 3/4 down and you will find that LiquidNutz found sugar to be the cause of his problems.

Sugar dissolves in gas, when it burns it turn into carbon which will destroy a motor. That is not a myth. Its fact....

First thing, drain the fuel. Save a sample as evidence. You'll need to wash out the tank use cheap gas or diesel. Change the filter, etc... Manually run the pump to clean the lines with fresh gas. Then if the motor isn't hurt, do a de-carbon on it. Probably several times actually.

If you have insurance, you can probably do this under the auspices of vandalism.

Also, file a police report.

Heres an update for all of you interested in this thread, what leaves a nice sticky film on the inside of your intake and intake ports, makes your valves seize, and eats up your cylinders along with your rings.

Any guesses?

Well let me help you out: ******* SUGAR!!!!!!!!

Now all I gotta do is find the son of a bitch that got my ***.

Good read DaleMX.
The whole troubleshooting experience he went through was like I was typing it myself

Well I think the damage is minor compared to "LiquidNutz". Pistons, cylinder walls, valves, and compression are good.Just looking at the sticky film in the intake ports on the head and the intake manifold ports around the injectors.

Stock injectors are probably toast(would definitely explain the super lean conditions at idle and cruise).Sugar would also explain the white residue on the manifold when I pulled the fuel rails and the white residue on my hand(after the gas dried) when I was changing the fuel filter.

This would probably explain the surging sound of my in-line pump also.

What really threw me was my problems were only the driver's side, then in the end, super lean on the passenger. Also fuel pressure only dropped about 1 1/2-2 psi.

Just checked if the residue was in the inside of the intake manifold. Nope. Just a light haze of oil from the pcv.All sticky residue is after the injectors.

I always considered the locking cap but sugaring the gas tank fell in the category of "does anybody do this still"
Apparently so

Could've be anybody. All I can say is if I ever find the person, they better be ready to have there arms torn off

Oh yeah. I will be ordering locking gas caps for both of the SS's tonight. Thanks for the GM PN Retsik.
