Default P2119 amd P2176

I currently have three codes:

P2119 - Throttle Closed Position Performance
P2176 - Minimum Throttle Position Not Learned
P0420 - Catalyst System Low Efficiency

I have the stock tune installed because I have been diagnosing the vibration/shudder stemming from DOD. I have the 420 error due to my downpipe and not having a tune installed to delete the code.

Now a little history. I arrived home from vacation on the 5th of October after being gone for a week, so the car sat. Car didn't start right away, threw a code went into reduced power mode. I reset it, car started fine, the code was something to do with the idle. Same thing happend two days later on the 7th. Same situation, I got a fresh tank of good gas and no problems since. This morning car won't start, goes into reduced power mode and throws 2 codes, the two above. I run 93 octane and usually run a tuned car but have been running the stock tune for about a week going on a week and a half now.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

John

When you turn the car off is the throttle body clicking to reset itself ?

As for Minimum Throttle Position Not Learned the computer will look at the throttle assuming nothing is pressing on it and set that as 0 make sure your floor mat isnt pressing on the throttle at all when starting "this could be whathappened if you only got the code once"

This code can also be thrown if the throttle plate gets stuck and wont close all way.
When you got this code did it rev unsually ?

If its only happened 1 time i wouldn't worry about it. If this is happening everytime and you don't have a warranty then i would clean the connectors with dielectric grease

I have a warranty, the only thing is Have to put the stock DP back in to get rid of the 420 code to bring it in. I didn't rev the motor when it happened and I didn't have the floor mat on the pedal or anything like that.

As for the reset click, never noticed it, so not sure.

Hey Emerson did they actually remove and clean the throttle body or just spray the **** out of it. The cause was / is a dirty tb and line to and including purge sol. these engines are dirty inside the intake it`s almost like the inside of the old egr systems. I am trying to find out more on why this is. But for now a good cleaning works for a while. Use your diablo to watch for any PO455 codes in the next few days that don`t trip the dics cel. One other thing how did your brake pedal feel before and after their repair.

I am still getting the P2176 and the dealer has had it three times and no clue.

According to this thread I might need a new PCM...

(So far they flashed the computer and replaced the battery)

Any GM Techs have any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

John

Ok. Try this, unplug the connector to the throttle body motor and then start the car. (with the connector disconnected) once the car is running connect the plug/connector that you disconnected. Your cel will be lit and if you still have your predator check and you will have a bunch of codes now . Clear them and leave the car run for 5 min. shut it down and give it a few seconds and then restart. hope this helps.
