Default Maple Grove 2013...who's gonna be there?

Figured I'd post early this year in case people have plans. It's on Sunday May 19th. Not sure of the exact time, but id aim for the later part of the morning if you are spectating and probably 9ish if you are going to run. Had 5 V1s show up last year ( 2 silver, 2 black, 1 redline), interesting enough no v2s. It was all good times with brewskies and brats available to munch on.

The charity Ronald McDonald House event is being held by County Corvette so they had quite a few vettes out there tearing up the track. As many of you know Maple Grove is a very well prepped track. Hope to see more people there this year. Shout-out to Tom and Dave, both of whom I met there last year.

Considering I have been seeing quite a few new local LS1tech members post here, hoping we will get even a better turn around this year.

Here is the event link:

Don't think I can make it this time that's a busy weekend for me. I'll be back when I buy a new car though.

If available, I'd show up to watch. I missed it last year since I was busy that day.

I'll be at County Corvette getting my V tuned next Monday! Installing Kooks headers and cats this Sunday.

I like turns. But it would be interesting to see what it traps. Wouldn't be able to get good 60' times without axles. I don't have $ set aside for a new diff either.

As a side note. I never pre-bought tickets last year and I am not sure if they are necessary to spectate. I paid 20 at the gate. That's per car not per person)

Since I was at County Corvette today... Mike tuning my V after I finally finished the last few things after my header install before I wanted it to be on the dyno... I thought I'd bump this thread in hopes of getting Vs out this Sunday!

Come on PA/MD/NY/NJ people... would be nice to finally put some faces with user names and check out cars.

Sunday, May 19th. Gates open at 8am with runs starting at 9. No need to get there that early as spectators ...hopefully we can find each other in the paddock.

****UPDATE****

I received an email from County Corvette that this event has been rescheduled for June 9th (still a Sunday).

For all of you who couldn't make it or didn't know about it, here's your second chance!

Please contact County Corvette / mail in the form with a $20 charitable donation to receive a ticket to get in to watch (yes, you can buy a ticket at the gate, but it wont go to charity) www.countycorvette.com/raceforRMH13.htm

Or sign up to race!!!! I'm told there are lots of Vettes, Camaros and Mustangs signed up... let's show them what a 4 sedan can do!

You can call 610-696-7888 to reach Denny Parisan at County Corvette with any questions.

http://www.maplegroveraceway.com is just off of the PA Tp outside of Philly. So, all of you people from Baltimore to NYC better show up!

It cant hurt to ask. I swear I recently read a post of Gforce replacing one in the same situation. At the very least, I'm sure they would want to see it to determine what/why it failed and help future revisions and buyers.

Yup, here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/cadillac-...epping-up.html

yes, this event has been rescheduled to June 9th.

I hope people show up to show as well as race. Plenty of time to get either ticket that'll get $ to charity.

*weekly bump*

This get together, show, and 1/4 mile charity race is THIS Sunday June 9th.

There's still plenty of time to mail payment to Denny at County Corvette to get a ticket to get in ($20) or race ($65).

You can buy an entry ticket at the gate, but it wont go to charity.

Weather looks great for the weekend namely Sunday of the event... 80F and partly sunny.

I hope more people are going to show up than posting in this thread!!! It's a charity event and you get to show off your V either in the paddock with the crowd of Vs and/or put those power adders to the test and see what times / traps you can run.

*bump*

Looks like the weather is going to be great for THIS Sunday June 9th, so the track will be open and the charity show and/or 1/4 mile race event is on!!

If you haven't bought a ticket via County Corvette, contact Denny to see if you still can get the $20 carload ticket that'll go to charity and reserve it at the gate. Otherwise, you can buy a spectator ticket at the gate, $ just doesn't go to charity. If you want to race, call Denny ASAP.

There will be VW Bugs and other dubs since they're having a show + race as well, and also ATI Stock/Super Stock event so lots of muscle car drag cars.... plus whoever shows up for County Corvette's charity show + race event!! Lots of cars to see and watch race.

http://www.maplegroveraceway.com/blog/?p=9893

If you're coming, please try to find the other Vs to park with in the paddock. I'll be there and so is Dave with his silver V. I hope to make it out by 9am starting time but with 2 kids, you never know how a morning goes until it happens.

Between this thread on the one on CF, there are some Vs signed up to race! Good luck!!
